Hi!
book
salifiable
I suppose that I should actually put something up here for anybody who happens to wander here, one way or another. :D

I'm Jane, and I'm almost exclusively a lurker. I'm pretty much a fannish butterfly, I go from one fandom to another and back again fairly frequently, although I'll basically read anything that I find well-written or that catches my fancy, whether I know the fandom or not. My fannish participation has been almost completely confined to Yuletide, but in any case you can see what I've written over at my AO3 page.

Feel free to friend or defriend as you like, no need to ask permission. I don't tend to friend back because I don't actually read my friends page hardly at all. I do try to reply to anybody who comments or PMs me - if you don't get a reply, please don't take it personally! It's almost certainly because real life was busy stealing all my attention and sanity. :P

Wow, it's difficult for me to wrap my head around the fact that it's Yuletide already. But here goes - this year, my three fandoms are Dessa (musician), Blossom Culp series - Richard Peck, and This is How It Starts commercial.

Going out for a run
book
salifiable
I poke around runnersworld.com pretty often to try to motivate myself, and I'm really glad that I read this column just now, because it's just what I needed. I skipped a run yesterday because I was feeling exhausted, and I knew that by the time I got back from running that it would be dark and I would still have to figure out dinner. Even today I was contemplating just skipping this week altogether, which probably would've been a really bad thing in the long run (because I'm pretty sure that once I started down that slippery slope of skipping runs, it would be aaallll downhill) no pun intended, so I'm going to go out for a run right now. Thank you, Marc Parent!

Music tastes and more thoughts on running
book

I am not subtle in my choice of running music. Eclectic, definitely. Range of genres, moods, tempos, etc., absolutely. But subtle? Nooooo. This song is one of the songs that really got me outside and moving at the beginning of training, and even learning that it's been featured on Jersey Shore isn't enough to get me to take it off my playlist. And then the other song that I've been listening to for a bit (haven't bought it yet) is Runnin' by Adam Lambert... yeah, like I said, *not subtle*. :D

Reposting Heart in Hand as original fic
book
salifiable
Edited to add: If you would like to read the RPS version of 'Heart in Hand' but are unable to get an AO3 account, please consider joining the 2mins4slashing community on livejournal. The original version is posted there under the tag 'author: salifiable'.

Well, the post title is a bit misleading since I ended up editing the original link with the public version of 'Heart in Hand' so that people wouldn't lose links if they'd already bookmarked it, but the public version of the story now uses fictionalized names. I've reposted the original version as a locked story on AO3, so that version does still at least exist if people are interested.

A few thoughts on RPF, original fiction, and fandomCollapse )
